Fantastic experience from start to finish. Honest and open approach to what we needed. No hard sell was a definite bonus! On installation day the team took great pains to limit the inconvenience to us (two kids doing home schooling plus ourselves working from home). Quick, efficient and tidy (hardly any mess left after they had finished!). 100% recommend giving them a call.
I can highly recommend Alan at Energy Ease. I wish I had this done few years ago. Our house is now warm equally in all room and my heater is having a rest. We are also able to use the loft room during winter now. This product is incredible. Alan was so helpful all the way through nothing was too much trouble. Some other company wouldn’t even come for quotes because of the loft room but Alan found a solution around it.
and timeframes. Pricing is competitive, I was offered slightly cheaper by other companies who started off high and then dropped their price as soon as I said no to their original price. With Energy Ease it was the best rate straight away. The guys that actually did the job where polite and worked clean in the main. Was not an issue for me, but 2 things to watch for. 1 the guys left a couple of foam covered plastic boards they had used in the loft, I believe this was an oversight 2 they moved a number of items stored in the loft. I had the understanding that they would cover and work around the items. Again the guys put the items back in the area they came from, but not in an organized way. This is me being pedantic but could upset others. The upstairs of the house is now a consistent temperature and condensation on the inside of the windows has reduced dramatically.
Great job. Complete roof done in 3 hours, the 2 lads worked really hard and left no mess. Loft looks great, much brighter and much warmer. Would thoroughly recommend.

Many people are under the impression Spray Foam is bad for a property and quite rightly too. A good few years ago Direct Sales Companies started selling Polyurethane and similar Spray Foams as Home Improvement products. This caused all kinds of issues, for example condensation, fire issues, off gassing harmful emissions, unable to remove tiles, problems selling properties, the list goes on. For this reason Spray Foam got a bad name and unfortunately, to many people, foam is just foam.
This is a totally incorrect assumption.
Icynene Spray Foam Loft Insulation
- Icynene LD-C-50 Spray Foam is a patented water blown product with no harmful chemicals.
- Within seconds Icynene expands at hundred to one, comprising of mostly air.
- The amazing thing is, Icynene creates a complete air barrier but at the same time manages moisture within the environment, this makes Icynene seriously unique. Icynene actually cures condensation issues in properties and lets wood dry at a rate that eliminates the potential for rot.
- Icynene LD-C-50 is being applied to churches, hospitals, schools due to the fact it has passed all toxicology tests.
- If there is a fire, tests show that you can gain an extra 15 minutes to egress a building.
- Icynene also flexes with the building due to its open cell structure and will last the life of a property without losing any insulation properties.
- Icynene is easily removed to necessitate building works like extensions, velux windows etc.
- Icynene can be sprayed directly over electrical cables and cables can be easily removed.
- If there is no membrane Icynene could be sprayed directly to the back of the tiles. Within 24 hours the tiles could be removed exposing the back of the product however; there is enough adhesion to eliminate tile slip from nail erosion. Note: In this Country the BBA (British Board of Agrement) require that we insert a membrane from the inside before the Icynene application. We would seek permission to do otherwise.
